FACT. COST. FIX.

Each finding states what can be established, what it costs, and what response the evidence justifies.

One method. The scope changes.

Diagnose first. Then build only what it justifies.

A C8 Diagnostic starts with a defined part of the business. Sometimes the problem sits in how customers arrive. Sometimes in how the work gets done. Often in the handoff between the two.

C8 Diagnostic Implementation

A C8 Diagnostic can examine any combination of these.

How it gets customers

The public journey a customer travels before they act.

How it runs

A workflow, how information moves, a reporting system, or an operational process.

How the two connect

Where the two meet: the handoffs, and the places information is lost between them.

One engagement may cross more than one of these. The scope is stated in the engagement.

Findings ranked by what they cost the business.

C8 Diagnostic

Book a scoping call

C8 examines a defined part of the business, separates evidence from inference, and determines the smallest justified intervention.

Every consequence carries its basis: measured, estimated with its assumptions stated, an operational consequence, or not knowable without access — and the last of those names what would make it knowable.

A qualitative observation is never upgraded into a figure because the figure is more persuasive.

A SAMPLE FINDING

Fact
The homepage's pricing section listed six services, their prices and a booking link for each, and was rendered with visibility: hidden.
Evidence
Reproduced independently at phone and desktop widths, and it persisted after scrolling. The prices and links were in the markup, neither visible nor usable on screen.
Cost
A visitor reaching that section could not see the services, compare prices, or follow a booking link: the purchasing path was unavailable.
Fix
Remove the hidden-visibility setting. One style change, not a redesign.
Unknown
Whether the hidden state was intentional or a leftover, and whether another route reached those pages.

One finding about a prospect C8 approached, never a client. The fix was never implemented; no result is claimed.

Implementation

Only if the diagnosis justifies it, and only at the size it justifies.

  • If the diagnosis justifies intervention, C8 scopes it from the findings.
  • Price follows the diagnosis: its breadth, its depth, the access it needs. Never the value of what might get built.
  • A C8 Diagnostic can legitimately conclude: build this, change this process, measure this first because the cost cannot yet be established, stop doing this, leave this alone, or that no implementation is justified yet.
  • The client keeps control of the work, the accounts, the data and the deliverables.

That is one diagnosis and one intervention, not two products. What implementation looks like depends on what the intervention actually is — a website, a workflow redesign and an internal system do not share one shape, and none of them gets a bigger process than the diagnosis justified.

Scope, changes and terms are agreed in writing before work begins — including how revisions are handled and what happens when something changes.
